LUPIN III di Shusay e Satosumi Takaguchi

A gennaio 1997 sono cominciati ad apparire nuovi episodi manga di Lupin III fatti da altri autori sotto la supervisione di Monkey Punch (l’autore originale).La coppia Shusay (disegni) e Takaguchi (sceneggiatore) ha creato solo 5 storie, così pubblicati sulle riviste a fumetti Weekly Manga Action ed Action 2:

Manga Action” sono pubblicate dalla Futabasha.Il disegno di Shusay è ispirato alla prima serie e soprattutto al film: Il castello di Cagliostro, diverse scene di questo lungometraggio sono ridisegnate e compare la Fiat 500 targata “R33”.

e storie appaiono in linea con gli episodi delle serie TV. Lupin deve organizzare furti su treni in corsa, in palazzi super sorvegliati o affrontare killer spietati, fra cui uno che sembra immortale.

Questa miniserie è stata raccolta in un unico volume nel 1998, Action Comics – Lupin III, pubblicato sempre dalla Futabasha.
